Rodeo Masbateño

Rodeo Masbateño Festival is an annual event which takes place in Masbate City which showcases skills in livestock handling, like lassoing, wrestling and riding cattle. This event also included a fair, exhibitions and trade of cattle and horses. This annual event is held every summer especially month of April. Rodeo Masbateño was conceived in 1992 as away of uplifting the local cattle industry. It was started by the group of ranchers and businesspeople of Masbate known as MAKUSOG, who formed the Rodeo Masbateño Foundation. In 1993, through the effort and support of Masbate Provincial governor Emilio Espinosa Jr. the first rodeo was staged. And it’s become an annual event until this time in order to improve the tourism and increase the local pride and the uniqueness of the event in whole region as well as in country. The first known for this event was Rodeo Filipino, but it was change to Rodeo Masbateño. It grow up into a national event over the years in order to attract tourists all over the country and world as a whole. For the success of this event, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared Masbate as the Rodeo Capital of the country on September 2, 2002 through the Executive Order No. 120. Masbate has also become a Rodeo capital in Asia and given a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association of America. The homegrown cowboys, who’s Rodeo talents has been honored at the festival, have participated in the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

Astro Boy

Astro Boy is an animated tale of young robot in search of acceptance from the animated company TMNT. Balud Masbate

 

 

Balud is a 4th class municipality of Masbate Province. In year 2000 census, it has a population of 30,068 in 5,547 household. In history, Balud has been identified because of large pigeons called “Balud”. This found in southwest part of Masbate. This is head to Panay Island and said that the first people who lives in this were came in Panay, that’s why the first language spoken in this is Hiligaynon.

In 1948, Balud was a part of municipality of Milagros and become independence in August 19, 1949, with 32 barangay and extent of 22,363 hectares. The main product of this place is rice and corn and the two major source of income in this area was farming and fishing.

Pangumagat Festival

Pangumagat Festival is a fiesta celebration Of Balud Masbate. This yearly festival is usually held at month of April.Last April 2008 and 2009 through the effort of  Benisano administration, the town held one famous sport competition- The Motocross Competition. This said competition has been watch by most of all Baludeño people and even peoples from different places in the country and world. The motocross competition is held inorder to have tourist attraction in Balud.
Also this festival held some other competition like Banca Racing, Boxing, and the always held events, The Street Dancing Competition that hosted by different Balud school.

pacquiao vs cotto match

 

November 14 is now getting near. The world is expecting for one most popular boxing event- The fight between the Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto and Filipino found for found king Manny Pacquiao for 145 lbs. Each boxer is expecting to be the winner because of their done present training. Cotto will depend his present WBO belt against pacquiao. Is the Filipino boxer will defeat the Puerto Rican Boxer?

 

 

 

So, try to not be absent in watching this most awaiting fight in history of boxing.
